Our Curriculum
Within our Program I plan fun learning experiences that are based on each child's individual strengths, abilities and interests. The curriculum I teach at CareBears is;
Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF): "My Time Our Place" for School Age Children."
This EYLF was developed by The Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACEQCA), which works with all governments to provide guidance, resources and services to support the education sector to improve outcomes for children. The program provides consistency and emphasis on what children at each age and development level are ready for.
The program relies on Play-based Learning principles which provide a context for learning through which children organise and make sense of their social worlds, as they engage actively with people, objects and representations.
I can assist young children to maximise their potential and develop a foundation for future success in learning. I endeavour to stimulate and develop each child socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually as well as their language and creative potential by providing activities that are age and developmentally appropriate.
The Learning Outcomes of the EYLF and "My Time Our Place" are:
1: Children have strong sense of identity
2: Children feel connected with and contribute to their world
3: Children have a strong sense of well being
4: Children are confident and involved learners
5: Children are effective communicators
Activities and experiences are provided for children to achieve the above outcomes. Communication with parents is very important to me. I regularly communicate with parents and families on their children's development through casual chats, communication books, notices, pamphlets and children's portfolios.
